Donations made to the OTLBC Capital Fund

The OTLBC is not a registered charity and so donations of any type will not qualify for a tax deduction or tax credit, nor will "donation tax receipts" be issued. In order for the club to obtain a charitable registration number from the Canada Revenue Agency, our activities would have to be of a strictly charitable nature. Though we are a non-profit organization and sports and recreation club that serves the Ottawa community by promoting a healthier lifestyle through tennis and other activities, we are not a registered charity for Canadian tax purposes. Donations to the capital fund by a business may be able to deduct such payments from business income as an advertising expense.
