Tennis Tournaments
The Ottawa Tennis & Lawn Bowling Club organizes a number of member-only club tournaments throughout the tennis season. Additionally the OTLBC also hosts two public tournaments: the Pierre Despatie and the NCTA City Open.
Club tournaments offer the following opportunities to members:
- friendly competition
- the challenge of new opponents
- a full match (without getting bumped off your court!)
- PRIZES (thanks to our generous sponsors!)
Entry details for each tournament will be posted on the bulletin boards at the club as well as on this website. You can register for all club tournaments at the Front Desk, and additional information will be available on this page closer to the events.

Eighth Annual Pierre Despatie Memorial Tournament: June 9-12 2011
The 8th annual Pierre Despatie Memorial Tournament is the kick-off to the tournament season at the OTLBC. The tournament will feature Men's Singles and Women's Singles events. Entry fees are $50, with profits being donated to Search and Rescue Global 1 (SAR Global 1) in memory of Pierre Despatie.

OTLBC Intermediate Championships: July 10-13 2011
The
Intermediate Singles and Doubles Championships provide an
event for players who are not competitive in the Club
Championships or NCTA open tournaments, but who want to
experience playing under tournament conditions. The
tournament features men's and women's singles and doubles.
If the weather permits, we will run consolation events to
provide the greatest number of players an opportunity to
compete. The Intermediate Mixed
Doubles Tournament will be held in
September.

OTLBC Club Championships: July 17-20 2011
The Club’s top players battle for the title of Club Champion and to see their names engraved on the permanent trophies. Champions will be crowned in men's and women's singles and doubles events. The Club Mixed Doubles Tournament will be held in September.

National Capital Tennis Association (NCTA) 101st City Open
Starts August 20
Again this year, the OTLBC is proud to host the National
Capital Tennis Association (NCTA) City Open Championships. Register
online from the NCTA website before August 18th.
NCTA membership is required for entry, and can also be purchased online from their site. Membership in the NCTA supports local tennis and offers a number of benefits including participation in interclub leagues, city tournaments and discounts at local vendors.

OTLBC Mixed Doubles Championships (Intermediate and Open): September 11-14 2011
Mixed doubles teams will compete in either the Intermediate or Open Club Championships to end the tournament season on a high note. This is a blow-out event and we hope to see many Mixed Doubles entries!
