Register Camps

2025 LIT registration (ages 14 to 16)

The LIT program provides young individuals with a unique hands-on opportunity to gain real-life experience and develop valuable skills for success. This program is designed for those looking to build leadership qualities and prepare for the future.

LIT Participants will:

Work alongside Summer Camp Staff: Assist with planning and executing engaging lesson plans while gaining practical experience in camp management.

Engage in Career Development: Take part in mock interviews, resume writing workshops, and skill building exercises to prepare for the professional world.

Complete Essential Training Courses: Receive valuable certifications in WHMIS, Worker Health and Safety Awareness, AODA, and other relevant courses.

Through role-playing scenarios and real-world work experiences, the LIT program equips participants with the tools and knowledge needed to thrive in a leadership role. By taking on responsibilities, building professional skills, and learning key workplace concepts, LITs are prepared to face opportunities and challenges in future careers with confidence and competence.  As part of the LIT program there will be up to 40 hours of volunteer hours available to participants.

  2. Campers seven (7) and up MUST take a Swim Test* unless wanting to wear a life jacket:  Swim Test Criteria: Ability to swim one length uninterrupted and alone, AND tread water in the deep end for 1 minutes. OTLBC Lifeguard must conduct a swim test.
  3. Campers fall into one of three categories:
    1. Green: Level 1 – Passed the swim test and is wearing a wristband – PERMITTED IN DEEP END

    3. Red: Level 3 – Test not taken or failed – life jackets required – shallow end only

Rain Day Policy

Due to the nature of clay tennis courts, they are not playable when there is excessive standing water.  During such times campers will utilise our new multi-use games area, beach courts, pool and indoor spaces.  Appropriate activities will be delivered to challenge and keep campers engaged during rain periods.

In the event of a storm (e.g. thunder and lightning), campers will be in our indoor spaces.  During such times, due to space constrictions campers’ activities will be structured but not as active as outdoor activities.

Every effort will be made to keep campers engaged and having fun in a safe environment at all times.

Sign Out Policy

All parents/guardians must declare people(s) authorised to pick up campers.  Photo identification is required for OTLBC to release your child to your authorised pick ups.

Alternatively, you may authorise that your child (WHO MUST BE 10 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER) is able to sign themselves out from camp at the end of each day to walk or bike home.
